Don't Move to Sweden - They Can't Protect Your Kids
So here’s the crazy thing.
I decided to do a livestream reacting to a Reddit-thread, about a Brit who moved to Sweden, only to see his daughter molested at school.
Of course the school handled it like a very typical Swedish school. But in the r/Sweden community on Reddit, they all acted like it’s a rare occurrence that doesn’t reflect their culture.
As soon as I was done with the livestream, I went on Twitter.
And what I do see there?
AN EVEN WORSE CASE THAN THE ONE I COVERED
This is how you know Sweden has a real problem.
Whenever a student is bullied, beaten, or worse - the school covers it up. Doesn’t want to help. Doesn’t punish the perpetrator. Adults don’t do anything to break the pattern.
And when confronted by the media, the school sounds the exact same as the local politicians refusing to take responsibility.
I need people to understand that this is not a one-off. This is a systemic pattern, a default to rely on when something goes wrong. This is a matter of culture, because as sick as these school may sound, what they are doing is perfectly legal - and has been for many years.
The fact that you have so many of these cases, and the approach/reactions are always the same by adults responsible, speaks to a sick mentality in our country that needs to be addressed - so it can be corrected.
Please share this story.
This is the ultimate warning, and it’s especially clear by the fact that nothing is sacred in Sweden; not even children. I’d hate to see more people move here with false ideas of Swedish reality.
